The National Mosque in Kampala, Uganda is an architecturally fascinating building. Recently opened up to the public, one can take a guided tour round the mosque for a reasonable fee, gaining unprecedented access to one of the crown jewels of the Islamic community in Uganda. I was fortunate to visit the mosque twice in 2014. The images in this book are the result of those visits and, hopefully, highlight the beauty of this majestic building whose minaret dominates Old Kampala, providing a great viewing platform over Kampala city.
